I used to come to this site nightly to hear debate. I am non partisan and this does nothing for me to want to support the democratic views.
The only reason I now come here is in the hope that the Secret service will lift the censorship. Nebraska only has one relavant party which is a shame. Stuff like your censorship will not change that. I know you want to silence many extremists on this site and for that I can not blame you. 75% of the regular posters on this site would be considered “party Kooks” that neither party and especially a candidate would want to distance themselves from. But their opinions shoule be heard. Regardless of party or “Kook Level” ideas should be heard. I always check in to read the debate. And some of the “Kooks” have some funny and occasionly insightful topics.
Kyle’s blog, insightful. Osborn guy, “Kook.” But let them speak. At least I have the NNN for Kyle. thankfully Kooks-born is stuck to this censored site.
But even Kooks-Born realizes the 1st amm. is needed here. Although he would like to launch a law suit at it, give it free healthcare and remove all personal responsibilty from the individual.

I recall that our purpose in going in to Iraq was to eliminate the threat of WMDs, not establishing democracy. Revisionist history works only so long as the people don’t pay attention to history.
As one of those LIBERAL Democrats that has had a belly full of the lies and distortions that have gotten us into, and kept us in, Iraq – I say it is time to, as John Lennon said, “Give Peace a Chance!”

While I’m glad you enjoy NNN, I must disagree with your characterization of the moderating at this site as some form of censorship. At the New Nebraska Network, there’s never been any need to moderate discussion because it’s a personal site for which I alone am liable. This blog, however, comes under much greater scrutiny and is a much greater liability because it is held to represent the Nebraska Democratic Party. You ask too much for the NDP to show no concern whatsoever for what is said and what is presented in a public forum for which it is responsible and for which the whole party is judged.
Finally, I think it’s extremely unfortunate that you would be so insulting and dismissive to Brian Osborn. Brian and I have very different approaches and we disagree on a great many things, but he has proven his passion, commitment, and intelligence on numerous occasions. He certainly deserves more respect than what you’ve shown him by labeling him a “kook” just because he’s prone to brash statements and isn’t afraid to come right out and say what he believes.

I will take your comments as a compliment.

Thanks. I admit that I do have a tendency to shoot from the hip, but that’s what kept a good many outspoken men alive back in days of the Wild West.

Although I haven’t meet Mr. Osborn but I highly doubt he is a “kook.” Name calling never accomplishes anything and that is something my parents taught me. If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say it at all.

But, at the end of the day, Kevin’s just “shooting from the hip” as well. If I weren’t an adherent to the Golden Rule, he who lives by the sword shall die by the sword would be a fitting moral for this story.
