Grassroots Academy: South Sioux City

Oct 02, 04:57 PM CST

Twenty people from three counties attended the South Sioux City Grassroots Academy on Monday night.

Other than distributing handouts that I had dated “September 31, 2007,” the training went very well. There were a lot of great questions and I would like to think that folks left the training with a good understanding of the caucus process and what it will take for Democrats to continue their success in 2008.

A few pictures:

South Sioux City Mayor Bob Giese welcomes the crowd.

Folks from Dakota, Dixon, and Wayne counties listen in.

Frank and Cynthia LaMere, Charles Shapiro, and Matt Connealy participate in a mock caucus. This group was supporting Franklin D. Roosevelt.

I’m looking forward to the next round of Grassroots Academy: October 14th in Fremont and Norfolk. Check out the Event Center to sign up for a training near you.
