Diane Battiato Announces Re-Election Bid
Oct 04, 08:27 AM CST
Surrounded by about 100 friends and supporters, Diane Battiato announced Tuesday evening she will seek a second term as Douglas County’s Register of Deeds. Battiato was first elected in 2004, and has dedicated the past three years to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the office, in both customer service and internal operations. “I felt changes needed to be made in the Register of Deeds office, and if elected, I’d make them. It’s been three years, and we’ve made significant changes,” Battiato said. Battiato is also working to improve the accessibility of public records by seeking outside funding to make land records available electronically.
Diane Battiato made history in 2004 when she became the first woman elected as Douglas County Register of Deeds.

It is almost done, just a few tweaks here and there (maybe some work on background), leave a comment on the blog and let me know what you think.
