Veterans Day Open Thread

Today and tomorrow we take time to remember those among us who answered the call of service to our great nation. We have lost many in our struggles for freedom and certainly two days is not enough time to remember their sacrifice.
However, we must not forget those who did come home. These are days to honor those men and women who returned to us, many in great need. Today we call on our government to step up to the plate and honor our veterans by providing them with the top-notch care and services they deserve. Recent images of the conditions at Walter Reed and other facilities challenge us to fight for our veterans, day in and day out.
Our offices in Lincoln will be closed tomorrow (Monday) in observance of Veterans Day.
