Jan 03, 11:06 AM CST
Later today, Nebraska Republican Governor Dave Heineman will travel to Iowa to campaign for former Massachusetts Governor and current flip-flopping Presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
According to multiple media sources, Romney is to credibility what day is to night:
New Hampshire Union Leader: “The More Romney Speaks, the Less Believable He Becomes.” [New Hampshire Union Leader, 12/26/07]
Boston Herald: Romney Trying to Get “Elected By Any Means Necessary.” [Boston Herald, 12/30/07]
Concord Monitor: New Hampshire Prides Itself on Weeding out “Phony” Candidates Like Romney. [Concord Monitor, 12/20/07]
LA Times/Bloomberg Poll: Romney the Least Honest Candidate. [Los Angeles Times, 12/5/07]
Joe Klein: Romney Running “The Least Honorable Campaign of Any Major Candidate.” [Time Magazine’s Swampland Blog, 12/28/07]
“From a broken HHS system to a roads funding crisis to the loss of more and more Nebraska teachers due to inadequate salaries, Dave Heineman has plenty of work to do right here in Lincoln,” said Matt Connealy, Executive Director of the Nebraska Democratic Party. Instead of campaigning outside of Nebraska, Heineman should be spending time tonight starting to finally put together a long-term vision for this state.
