Ken Haar Running in LD 21

Feb 21, 10:18 AM CST

Ken Haar is joining the field of candidates in District 21:

A former Lincoln city councilman says he will run for the Legislature to improve the future for his grandkids and other Nebraska children.

Ken Haar, who served on the council from 1989 to 1997, will run for the District 21 seat now held by Sen. Carol Hudkins of Malcolm.

Senator Hudkins can’t run for reelection due to term limits.

There are now three Democrats running in the district, which encompasses much of Northwest Lancaster County and southern Saunders County: Ken Haar, Vern Barrett, and Tami Soper.

One Republican has also entered the race.
