Catholic Democrats of Nebraska Host Kathleen Kennedy Townsend

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, daughter of Bobby Kennedy, spoke to about 150 Democrats at the Omaha Firefighters’ Hall last night. Her speech, “Failing America’s Faithful: How Today’s Churches Are Mixing God with Politics and Losing Their Way,” shared the reasons why many Catholics are Democrats because of their faith –– not in spite of it.

Scott Kleeb and Tony Raimondo, both Catholic, were among the several candidates that attended.

After her speech, the Catholic Democrats presented Ms. Townsend with a picture of her father the day after he won the 1968 Nebraska Primary.

Congratulations to the Catholic Democrats of Nebraska, led by Jim Begley and Jim Dugdale, on having a great event.
