  1. We want to invite all political junkies in the state to a special premier of a new documentary about the 1968 presidential primary in Nebraska. For the film “68: The Year Nebraska Mattered,” NET Television collected rarely seen old footage of Bobby Kennedy, Eugene McCarthy, Hubert Humphrey, Richard Nixon and combined it with the recollections of people involved in those high profile campaigns. There are lots of local Democrats interviewed in this program.

The Lincoln screening is at the Mary Riempa Ross Theatre at 7PM on May 1st.

In Omaha you can see it at FilmStreams, 1340 Webster on Tuesday, May 6.

Both are open to the public and FREE!

You can also catch the film on NET Wednesday, May 7 at 8 p.m. on NET1 (and in high definition on NET-HD?) It will be shown a number of times during the month of May.

  2. I’m confused. Where were the other 2 Democratic candidates? Did they decline or were they blackballed?
