UPDATED: Vote for Change Kickoff Events

May 06, 09:00 AM CST

As part of Barack Obama’s national Vote For Change campaign, two events are scheduled in Nebraska:

Omaha
Time: Saturday, May 10 at 10:00 AM
Location:
THE ANTIQUARIUM
1215 HARNEY ST
OMAHA, NE

Lincoln
Time: Saturday, May 10 at 10:00 AM
Duration: 1 hour
Location:
GOLDENROD PRINTING
F STREET REC CENTER (LINCOLN, NE)
13TH AND F STREET
LINCOLN, NE

While voter registration is always a great cause, I’d remind people of two things: Voters registered on May 10 are not eligible to participate in the May 13 Primary Election, and – being the weekend before Primary – we have a lot of great candidates in nonpartisan races that might need your help.

Update: Obama Supporter and Superdelegate Vince Powers will be speaking at the Lincoln event. Also, the Lincoln event has changed locations from Goldenrod to the F Street Rec Center.

The Nebraska Democratic Party does not endorse candidates in contested primary contests. We attempt to provide timely updates and give the same opportunities to all candidates.

  1. In doing all that we can to help Senator Obama become President,we must make it clear that he is not responsible for what Rev.Wright says or for that matter, what any one else says.Words are are not like disease carrying germs.Barack Obama did not catch something from his preacher. We all support freedom of speech…..or do we?

  2. Another thing that we must be very clear about is that wearing an American flag in our lapel is not always a sign that we have done something patriotic for our country.Dick Cheney, and John Ashcroft wore flags on their coats and each had a fist full of deferments during the Vietnam war.Keep in mind that it took great courage to vote against the invasion of Iraq.Senator Obama deserves our respect !
