Tony Raimondo is on the air with this ad tonight, featuring his recent endorsement by the Omaha World-Herald:

Raimondo was also endorsed by the United Transportation Union, the largest rail laborer union in Nebraska. Scott Kleeb, his primary opponent, received the Nebraska AFL-CIO endorsement a little over a month ago.

The Nebraska Democratic Party does not endorse candidates in contested primary contests. We attempt to provide timely updates and the same opportunities to all candidates.

  1. There is something I don’t entirely understand. What is “real world”experience? I doubt that any of the candidates have” other world”experience. These are really advertising slogans.Any candidate is under an obligation to explain what they intend to do if they are elected. Then the question as to why has the candidate switched political parties must be posed. Suddenly we have a man move from the Republican to the Democratic party, why?

  2. Thomas, he not only swapped parties, but is essentially funding his own campaign. At the 3rd district meeting in GI, Mr. Raimondo said the Republican party had left him behind. If that were indeed the case, why did he not change in ‘03 or ‘04, when it was apparent what the Bush Admin (the power behind the Rep. party) was up to. I do not believe Mr. Raimondo is a Democrat, but rather using his money to make we Democrats spend our money unnecessarily.
