Weekend Convention Wrap-Up
Jun 10, 11:10 AM CST
County Convention season is drawing to a close, and I wanted to share some pictures from around the state.
On Saturday, I attended conventions in Saunders County and Otoe County. I’ve continually been impressed by the work done in Saunders County; due to the recent tornado that swept through Ceresco, the 50 dedicated Democrats had to meet in a church without lights or air conditioning – power had not yet been restored to the city.

Steve Baltensperger hosted a convention for Otoe County in the Nebraska City courthouse. Max Yashirin, candidate for Congress, was there to introduce himself to the local activists.

I also got to attend the Johnson County Convention. Ron Oates has done a great job of getting things off the ground there.
Matt, Clara, and Anna attended several conventions as well. Matt greeted over 60 Democrats in Dakota County, an incredible increase from the 8 in 2006 and the 6 in 2004. Congratulations to all County Parties that have helped us break the record set in 2006.
