Hamilton and Merrick Counties
Jun 10, 01:17 PM CST
Hamilton and Merrick Counties had their conventions last night.
Steve Leach in Hamilton County has done a fantastic job picking up the slack. He agreed to organize his caucus and was named temporary County Chair at that meeting. Senator Annette Dubas was there to greet everyone, and Scott Kleeb was en route when I had to leave to head to Central City.

In Merrick County, Selma Mesner organized the convention and was re-elected County Chair.
Maureen Nickels, Lois Schank, and Selma Mesner in Central City.
Anna and Matt were also on the road last night. Anna was in Nemaha County, and Matt met with Democrats in Greeley County. In both those counties, no organization existed before the February 9th Caucus; now there are county executive committees and full delegations headed to Fremont for State Convention.
I want to thank all the County Parties for their hospitality as we’ve crisscrossed the state the past few days. The energy coming from the grassroots of the Party is truly exciting, and I look forward to working with all of you in the coming months.

I loved going to Merrick County. Selma just absolutley amazes me. She just keeps going, and has provided real leadership in the that area. Lois, Maureen and all the others there in Merrick County are tireless in their efforts to make Nebraska a better place.
Great job!!!!
