State Convention This Weekend
Jun 19, 09:31 AM CST
We haven’t had a lot of time to blog this week because we’re getting ready for State Convention:
Nebraska Democrats, energized by this year’s first-ever caucuses and a historic presidential nomination battle, will descend on Fremont this weekend.
About 680 delegates are expected to attend the party’s three-day state convention, which starts Friday at Midland Lutheran College.
The convention will choose the successor to party chairman Steve Achelpohl and elect pledged delegates to the party’s national convention in Denver. More than 400 people have applied to become national delegates.
You can check out more information at the Convention Committee’s website.
