This message just showed up in my inbox, and I wanted to share it with anyone who has not yet signed up for Scott’s email updates.
Deciding not to run for U.S. Senate in 2008 was one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make. Though happy with my position at New School, I believe our nation is facing a critical moment that challenges us all to public service.
Washington has failed our middle-class. They’ve failed our rural communities. They’ve failed the people of Iraq, and they’ve failed our brave veterans coming home.
A critical trust has been broken, and it is up to us to help restore it. There is no way I could ever turn my back on that duty. When I decided not to run, I did so only because I knew that there was a new generation of leadership capable of meeting the challenges ahead.
Scott Kleeb is that leader.

In all my time in Nebraska politics, I have never been more excited to support a campaign. As a teacher and former ranch hand, Scott understands those values of community and common purpose that have guided our state through both good times and bad.
