Obama Outraises McCain in Nebraska
Jul 14, 09:48 AM CST
Barack Obama is well ahead of John McCain in Nebraska fundraising, despite having been the presumptive nominee for several months longer than Obama:
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has been raking in more campaign dollars from Nebraska, but Republican John McCain could close the gap with this week’s visit to the state and a high-dollar fundraiser.
The latest fundraising numbers from the Federal Election Commission show Obama raised $365,134 through the end of May. McCain pulled in $154,776.
McCain will likely pull ahead thanks to his $50,000 per couple event in Ashland on Wednesday. The NDP will also be hosting an event on Wednesday; stay tuned for details.

Remember these famous words uttered by Democratic Senatorial candidate Tony Raimondo back on May 14th of this year?
======
“The tent is a big tent. It’s a tent of change, and a tent of fiscal discipline, and i just feel great being with it,” Raimondo said. Although Raimondo came out short of the Democratic Senate nomination, he said his new party—and winning opponent—have what it takes to make it to the White House, and change Washington.
“We’re really proud of what we’ve accomplished in the race, and we congratulate Scott Kleeb. The Democratic party is going to be the party of change that gets America back on track,” Raimondo said.
Raimondo said it was a great experience, and he’s glad he entered the race. He plans on throwing his support toward Kleeb, who he said will make a great U.S. Senate Democratic candidate.

So. What has Tony done to back up all those nice words he was throwing around back on May 14th? C’mon Tony! Crack open that big old checkbook and show those Republicans that you meant every word you said.
