Jul 14, 05:50 PM CST

With John McCain at a high dollar fundraiser down the road, the Nebraska Democratic Party will be hosting a grassroots hotdog cookout at Mahoney State Park on Wednesday, July 16, at 3:30 pm.

McCain Victory 2008 will be charging $50,000 per couple for admission to an elite reception and a picture with the Republican candidate; the NDP will ask for $5 for hotdogs and as many pictures as the Democrats in attendance can take. Candidates and Party Leaders, including 2nd Congressional District candidate Jim Esch, will be there to shake hands and address the crowd.
