Steve Achelpohl Statement on Mayor Mike
Fahey’s Decision Not to Seek Re-Election

OMAHA, Neb. – Steve Achelpohl, Chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party, released the following statement regarding Mayor Fahey’s decision not to seek re-election:

“Mayor Mike Fahey has served the city of Omaha with great distinction these past eight years. The mayor, purely and simply, is one of the finest mayors the city of Omaha has known. The Nebraska Democratic Party salutes Mayor Fahey’s distinguished service.”

  1. I’m not from Omaha nor do I live there but I like Fahey. I think he’s a true leader.

    With that being said, are we going to get him to run for Governor? Please tell me that there will be a credible candidate from us against the henchman in the Governor’s office? That would be one race I would love to see happen!
