Kleeb, Johanns Spar in Scottsbluff
Sep 08, 11:04 AM CST
Scott Kleeb and Mike Johanns met in Scottsbluff yesterday, and things weren’t always friendly:
While each of the candidates addressed issues facing Nebraskans, Kleeb went on the attack early as he made references to Johanns being a quitter and that what Nebraska needs is someone who would put the people of the state first with fresh ideas and leadership…
Johanns also delivered a few jabs himself referring to a 50-plus page document Kleeb had authored saying that it called for excessive spending. Kleeb answered back by saying there were 53 pages because there is “a lot to fix.”
...
Kleeb ended the evening talking about the closing of a manufacturing plant in DeWitt. He said that closing shows what comes with poor leadership and bad economic policies. “Those workers gave their lives to that company and in return they were given 60-days notice…They need something more than 60 days, they need real change.”
