Tuesday: Irish-Americans for Obama

Oct 27, 08:48 PM CST

From the Obama campaign:

OMAHA, Neb. – This Tuesday, October 28th, Irish-American Obama supporters in Nebraska will get together, celebrating their heritage and sharing why Senator Obama is the one candidate who can fix our broken economy and put our country back on track.

Mayor Fahey will be at the event, as will Stella O’Leary, the chair of Irish American Democrats. They will rally fellow Irish-Americans at Barrett’s Castle in Omaha, calling on everyone to vote early, and work hard over the next week to help get out the vote for Barack Obama. Mayor Fahey and Stella O’Leary, along with the Obama supporters at tomorrow night’s event, know the stakes are high, and Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District has the opportunity to make all the difference in this pivotal election.

The Obama campaign is busy in these final days leading up to November 4th with its “Get-Out-the-Vote” effort in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, consisting of hundreds of supporters contacting thousands of Nebraskans to make sure they cast their votes for Barack Obama.
