Washington – Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine issued the following statement after Chairmen of the House Ways and Means, Energy and Commerce, and Education and Labor Committees released their discussion draft for health care reform legislation.

“Today Democratic leaders in the House released the outline of their plan to reform our broken health care system. The House’s effort brings us a step closer to a solution that fixes what is broken with our system and builds on what already works. In the months and weeks ahead, the DNC will continue to engage people around the health care issue and push for reform that is essential to American families and businesses, and the long term health of our economy.”
