Lincoln, NE – Nebraska Democratic Party Chair, Vic Covalt, released this statement in response to Mark Fahleson’s jab at Senator Ben Nelson:
“Mr. Fahleson is failing to dot the I’s and cross the T’s,” Covalt said. “Senator Nelson has been at the forefront of looking out for the interests of Nebraskans. Meanwhile we have Senator Johanns singlehandedly killing a resolution to bring 64 million dollars to Nebraska for infrastructure projects. Talk about stunting job creation for our state.
“Here in the State we have a Governor calling a special session at a cost of at least $10,000 per day to Nebraskans when Senators will be back at the capitol in just over 60 days. It is time for Fahleson and Republican leadership to show something other than a “NO” that ends up killing jobs and to halt wasting tax payer dollars on a special session.”
