Here He Goes Again, Falseman With His Latest Miscommunication

Jan 21, 04:58 PM CST

Although hardly surprising, the Nebraska Republican Party has sunk to new lows. A recent fundraising letter mailed to donors attacked U.S. Senator Ben Nelson. This piece of propaganda claims that Nelson is unpatriotic for casting a vote in the Senate in favor of a bill that would help millions of Americans who are in desperate need of health care. This self-aggrandizing appeal for donations to the Republican Party attempts to maliciously label the Senator as a “Benedict Arnold” who betrayed his country.

Mark Fahleson, Nebraska Republican Party Chair, should be ashamed for calling into question Senator Nelson’s patriotism as a fundraising gimmick to raise money so the party can continue more of its partisan nonsense. Voters across Nebraska should recognize Fahleson’s partisan hit piece for what it is – a cheap attempt to get donations for the Republican Party without any attempt to actually help the people of Nebraska.

Fahleson would be wise to consider his own actions compared to those of Benedict Arnold who was once referred to as being “destitute of good manners.”
