Day Two: Nothing from Heineman.

Feb 06, 04:27 PM CST

It’s been two days since Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Vic Covalt asked Governor Dave Heineman to cause the return “the Husker Kickbacks.”

State agencies are spending more that $1 million per year purchasing advertising on the Husker Sports Network. The advertising came with such perks as, “2,564 tickets to University of Nebraska athletic events, tailgate party passes, travel and tickets to away games, dinners with coaches and autographed footballs, volleyballs and posters.”

The state agencies should pay the state treasury the value of the benefits they got as kickbacks for spending taxpayer money, and Deficit Dave Heineman could easily call on the state agencies to do so.

Yet Deficit Dave hasn’t bothered to address this issue.

Why no comment, Deficit Dave?

We are counting the days until you do the right thing.
