Heineman's Lack of Leadership

Dave Heineman had the opportunity to do the right thing with the Nebraska Legislature on Wednesday. He could have supported Legislative Bill 1110, which would have provided prenatal care for the unborn children of undocumented workers in Nebraska. These innocent children will be U.S. citizens at birth and should have a decent chance at a healthy life.
Even though he claims to be pro-life, Deficit Dave Heineman threatened to veto the bill thus ruining any chance it had of passing. Actions truly speak louder than words. By his actions to stop the passage of this bill, Dave Heineman has revealed himself to be Nebraska’s first abortion promoting governor.
What Heineman has managed to accomplish is quite simple. He politicized an issue, but made no efforts to actually lead. Heineman stubbornly stopped the legislative process with LB 1110, and now at least seven women have confided to their physicians that they may need to terminate their pregnancy.
Dave Heineman, you had the opportunity to help the unborn in Nebraska yet failed to do so – you should be ashamed of yourself.
