NEGOP Civil War Gets even Hotter

Jun 26, 08:21 PM CST

The growing rift inside the NEGOP got even bigger with David Kramer, former chair of the Nebraska Republican Party, announcing his bid to be the Republican nominee for US Senate.

Kramer will be facing off with Don Stenberg in the primary. Stenberg has run seven statewide races before – and lost two of them (both losing campaigns were for US Senate). He’s also lost other campaigns, having been defeated for both State Senate and Lieutenant Governor.

Meanwhile, of course, Governor Heineman is duking it out with legendary football coach Tom Osborne for the Republican gubernatorial nomination.

It looks like things could get a bit hostile in Republican circles.
