Turning a corner with the NE GOP

The Nebraska Democratic Party offers praise to the leadership of the Nebraska Republican Party for their recent awakening on social issues.

The leadership of the Nebraska Republican Party has thoughtfully invited U.S. Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts to address their Convention this weekend in Fremont. Brown considers himself to be a “big tent” person and is known for such open-minded viewpoints as being pro-choice.

Brown shows respect for Roe v. Wade by referring to it as the “law of the land,” and has stated that woman’s right to choose “is best handled between a woman and her doctor and her family.”

The Nebraska Democratic Party congratulates the leaders of the Nebraska Republican Party for taking this issue off the table by bringing in Scott Brown as their keynote speaker at the Nebraska Republican Party’s State Convention. By featuring Brown, the Nebraska Republican Party has effectively removed the issue from the political arena and recognizes that it is a personal, private matter to be handled by the individual and not the government.

A ‘Scott Brown Republican’ is pro-choice, anti-tax
