From the Road: Saline County Convention

Last night, I joined the Saline County Democrats for their County Convention, and there wasn’t an empty seat in the entire room! They had an All-Star cast visiting their Convention: David Hahn, Scott Kleeb, National Committeeman Vince Powers, Roger Foster Candidate for Ward 1 in Crete, and Legislative Candidate Russ Karpisek.
The Saline County Republicans were also hosting their County Convention down the hall of the Courthouse, but the overwhelming pride of being a Democrat filled the entire room and it poured out into the hallways. Candidate Hahn said that the Democratic Party is a “party of good ideas and of common sense.” Legislative Candidate Karpicek expressed how grateful he was for all the support he has received throughout Saline County and from the NDP Staff throughout his campaign.
Don Eret was elected to two more years as Saline County Chairman, Jody Kerrenbrock was elected as Vice Chair, Roger Foster as Secretary and Lois Eret was re-elected as Treasurer. All four delegates’ spots were filled, as were the alternate seats.
Saline County is roaring to go and ready to hit the streets as proud 3rd Congressional Democrats!
