Rove: 2008 Senate Race Not Competitive

Thu, Mar 29 04:40 PM CST

Yesterday, Congressman Bruce Braley questioned Lurita Doan, head honcho of the General Services Administration, during the House Oversight Committee’s investigation of her organization. The investigation was intended to (and did) uncover gross misuse of GSA time and resources. But that’s not what I found most interesting.

Building the Young Democrats

Tue, Aug 2 11:50 AM CST

Amid a robust discussion about the future of youth-oriented progressive politics, the Young Democrats of America convention is about to gavel down in San Francisco. It’s a good time to think about what can be done here in Nebraska to energize the Nebraska Young Democrats as they work to build the youth wing of our party. They’re already active on campuses and in communities across the state – and on at least one campus, they’re doing great online work too.

We’re not the only ones thinking about this: a couple of days ago over at MyDD, there was a great post about organizing young people. Check it out, and share your thoughts.

County Democratic Party Websites

Sun, Jul 10 01:42 PM CST

Over at Daily Kos, Tim Tagaris takes a look at the web presence (or lack thereof) of county-level Democratic Parties. Tim has given us great feedback on our work to develop the nebraskademocrats.org web strategy, and it’s interesting to get his take on county parties and the web.

It’s especially relevant to the work we’re trying to do here in Nebraska with nebraskademocrats.org.
