Dean Fires Up Nebraska Democrats
LINCOLN, Neb. – Governor Howard Dean, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee headlined the Nebraska Democratic Party’s “Grassroots Celebration” this evening in Omaha at the Holiday Inn Central. The event raised funds for the Nebraska Democratic Party and its future campaign efforts.
More than 250 Nebraskans were in attendance as Dean praised them for their past success and encouraged them to continue their hard work in the months ahead, in preparation for the 2008 elections.
Dean’s visit highlighted Nebraska’s involvement in the 50 State Strategy, which emphasizes each state’s role in the Party’s activities on the national level.
“It was truly an honor to have Governor Dean with us today,” said Matt Connealy, Executive Director of the Nebraska Democratic Party. “We have much work ahead for us and the Governor’s visit undoubtedly helps motivate all of us to get that work done.”
All funds raised during today’s events will be used to continue the Nebraska Democratic Party’s operations throughout the state.
