Achelpohl Statement Regarding Daub Announcement
LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Democratic Party State Chair Steve Achelpohl released the following statement regarding Hal Daub’s announcement this morning:
“True Nebraska leaders face challenges head-on, not fold before the challenge even begins.”
“Today, Hal Daub adds to his legacy of losing more elections than he has won. Less than a week after declaring defiance against Washington politics, Hal has kowtowed to Washington based Republican political operatives who are trying to crown Nebraska’s next U.S. Senator. Hal decried business as usual in Washington but he embraced Washington politicians conducting business here in Nebraska. The people of Omaha and Nebraska will not soon forget Hal’s knuckling under the Republican establishment in Washington.”
“This is the people’s seat; it doesn’t belong to Republicans in Washington.”
